Hello I am Pete Chakales, a native and
product of Buncombe County. I was a baby boomer and was one of the
last babies delivered at Biltmore Hospital.
In 1998 together with partners Patty
Chakales and fellow Farm Bureau Agent Paul Aubry, we purchased Brank
Insurance Agency. I began my insurance career in 1989 with Farm
Bureau Insurance Company. Celebrating 20 years in the business!
Current Designations Include:
I currently hold a BS in Business
Administration from East Tennessee State University as well as Life
Underwriting Training Counsel (LUTC) designation in life and health
insurance. I also hold a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) from
the National Alliance. I thrive on learning and the opportunity to
continue my education all of the time.
Words don't describe how proud Patty and
I are of our two wonderful children! Charlie & Catherine are following
in Mom & Dad's footsteps in the insurance field at the Walker College of
Business at Appalachian State University as Risk Management majors.
This is proof that my belief in wonderful insurance service has carried
over to my children.
I'm known in the office as a cut-up, but
mostly a golfer!

Hi! I'm
Patty Chakales. I started my insurance career as one of the owners
of Brank Insurance Agency in 1998. I love what I do and I'd like to
do it for you! We put a lot of emphasis on education in our
agency. I have earned my CISR (Certified Insurance Service
Representative) and my CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor). I am
currently working on my Certified Risk Management (CRM)
designation. All the time spent taking all these classes helps me
help you make good insurance buying decisions.
I have
been with the love of my life, Pete Chakales, for over 38 years. We
have two beautiful children, Charlie (24) and Cat (20). Our Cairn
Terrier, Ollie rules the house.

Hello! I'm Paul Aubry
I have been a partner with Brank Insurance Agency for almost 10 years. I
have been in the insurance business for 20 years. I earned my CIC
(Certified Insurance Counselor) and Life Underwriting Training Council
Fellow designations and I am currently working on my CRM (Certified Risk
Manager) designation. I enjoy working with clients in meeting their
insurance needs.
I am married to Kay
Aubry, she's a Media Specialist (Librarian) at Weaverville Elementary
School. We have a son and a daughter. Our son Matt is a
Captain in the Army, stationed with the 82nd Airborne Division Division
at Fort Bragg. Matt recently completed a 15 month tour in Iraq.
Our daughter Rebecca is a recent graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill and is
employed with the Congressional Award Program on Capital Hill,
Washington DC.
I am active in
church and Gideon's International. I have served as president of
the Weaverville Rotary Club.

Hi, my
name is Christina Conner. I live in Asheville, NC. I was born
in Hampton, VA and moved to Asheville when I was 4 years old. I
graduated from Erwin High School in 1995. I have two Associate
of Applied Science degrees, one in Accounting and one in
Business Management. I earned those from South College in June
2003. I have been in the insurance business since October 2004,
when I started with Brank Insurance Agency. I also have the
Certified Insurance Service Representative, CISR, designation
that I received in July 2006. I enjoy working in insurance
because I feel good helping people protect their precious
belongings.
I am
engaged to the love of my life, Terry Hipps. I have two
wonderful children. My daughter, Caitlin, is 7 years old. My
son, Landon, is 5 years old. Terry has a wonderful son, Corey.
He is 4 years old.

Hi
my name is Lauren Penland. I am 25 years old and a local girl at
heart. Born and Raised here in the mountains. Weaverville is
home to me. I am a North Buncombe High School Graduate and I am
Very proud of it. GO BLACKHAWK'S. I am engaged to David Ahrendt
originally from Iowa, but spent most of his years in Montgomery,
Alabama. I am a Reems Creek Girl and will always be. Our
children, grandchildren, and so on will go to North Buncombe,
the best of the best. David is fairly new to Reems Creek but has
grown quite attached over the last few years. We are to be
married May 24, 2008 in the great state of Alabama.
After graduating high school in 2000 I worked as a restaurant
manager for seven years. I have been with Brank Insurance
for over six months and am glad to call it my second home.
I received my North Carolina agents license in October 2007, and
I am working towards receiving a CISR within the next year. I
work with the best team, and clients that you could imagine.
"Team work really is the Dream work" I look forward to working
with the community for the rest of my life. I have finally found
where I fit in. I can't wait to assist you with your needs.
